Every creature below was found by someone piloting the demo, not by the lab: a nickname, a brush, a submitted grid. The lab then re-simulates it in full from the submitted state — no blind trust — and only publishes it here if that re-simulation confirms it as stable or evolving.
How a creature joins the Bestiary
Nothing is published straight from your browser. A submission from the demo places the grid in a queue; the lab downloads it, decodes it, and runs it again in full, with the same simulation core used by the official runs. If that independent re-simulation confirms the shape is stable or evolving — and only then — it enters the catalogue, under the nickname given at submission time.
This is rigorous wonder rather than a plain showcase: no "extinct" or "exploded" creature ever appears here, and the vital signs shown are those measured during that verification re-simulation, not an optimistic estimate from the original submission.
